Jewish Federation of St. Louis is a 125-year-old cornerstone of Jewish life in the region, connecting the St. Louis community to resources, programs, and partnerships that span local neighborhoods, Israel, and the wider world. When they were ready for a full website overhaul, the scope was comprehensive: hundreds of pages of content, a navigation system that had grown too complex to serve its users, and a digital presence that no longer reflected the scale or credibility of the organization it represented.

Scope of Services
The Strategy
The strategic priority was clarity. A site this large, serving donors, community members, families, young professionals, and partner organizations simultaneously, needed a content architecture that could guide each of those audiences to what they needed without making anyone feel lost. We also knew the site needed to signal its connection to the broader national federation network, elevating the visual experience to meet that standard while keeping the St. Louis community front and center.
The Idea(s)
We leaned into blue as a defining visual element, a color with deep resonance in Jewish identity and one the Federation had long used but never fully owned online. Community and connection became the organizing principles of the content, with in-person events surfaced prominently as a primary feature rather than buried in a calendar no one could find. The content was restructured around the way people actually engage with the Federation, whether they are looking to give, get involved, find programs for their family, or understand the organization’s impact.
The Delivery
The finished site is clean, stable, and built to last. The previous platform had been prone to crashing, leaving the Federation unable to communicate reliably with its community at critical moments. The new site resolves that entirely, giving the organization a dependable foundation with intuitive navigation and a visual identity elevated to the level the Federation’s century-plus legacy deserves.

Every content category on the site is anchored by an actual member of the St. Louis Jewish community. Rather than designing for an assumed audience, we designed for a young professional finding their footing in the community, a family looking for camp information, a longtime donor exploring legacy giving options.
